Our September 2013 Bridging Camp for Thieu and Cadets was set in Camp Trask, where our highlights shine brightly on a couple of furry visitors, a supposedly mother bear and her cub. They tried mingling around our tents to make Thieu friends and to socialize with the parents. Parents had a tough time keeping the wondrous smells of grub, such as Pho and snacks, away. But who could blame the furry guests? Who could not resist the river of warm vermicelli noodles flowing down the campground slopes? I know I would most definitely keep them all to myself.
Aside from the furry visitors, Camp Trask was a beautiful place for most campers due to the mild climate and gorgeous view.
